For the release of Forgiving Milo (see my next post), I had the opportunity to be an ARC reader for Desiree Span. Since it’s the second book in the Siel Series, I decided to start with Interviewing Michael — and I’m really glad I did.
Michael Siel, a famous musician, is haunted by recurring nightmares about his twin brother Luca. These moments immediately raise questions and create a sense of mystery around his past. To cope with whatever he’s dealing with, Michael turns to alcohol and one-night stands, trying to numb everything he feels.
That is, until he meets Alli.
What starts as an unexpected and slightly chaotic first encounter slowly develops into something more. Their interactions feel natural and gradually build into a connection that makes you wonder: is this something real, or just physical attraction?
Alongside this, there’s a strong focus on family dynamics. The relationship between Michael, his sister Sandra, and their father adds another layer to the story, especially when certain revelations begin to surface. These moments bring tension, emotion, and even more questions.
What I really enjoyed about this book is how it balances different elements — family drama, romance, and mystery — without it ever feeling too heavy. The story keeps you curious about what really happened in Michael’s past and what’s still left to uncover.
Overall, Interviewing Michael is a gripping and emotional story filled with love, guilt, and hidden truths that kept me hooked for hours
A compelling mix of romance, mystery, and family drama that keeps you questioning what lies beneath the surface.
